Cantonese Teacher - Giovanna Chan
I decided to do the intensive private Cantonese course so I could get the most out of the classes by learning at a rapid speed, fully emerging myself in the language, and learning about topics that are of specific interest to me. We usually did two hours every Mo-Fri over Zoom due to Covid-19, so it was fairly easy to combine with my job.
Giovanna was great, very knowledgeable, knew exactly what I wanted to focus on, and always so patient and friendly. Highly recommend her!

My name is Giovanna. I speak both Mandarin and Cantonese as a native speaker. I also speak English and Italian. I have been teaching Chinese as a foreign language for many years including 4 years teaching in the Open University of Hong Kong. I am now a dedicated Cantonese teacher in New Concept Cantonese. I help my students acquire Cantonese in a natural way. I focus on practice rather than purely lecturing on the linguistic aspects of Cantonese.
